Spilling the Tea
Join artist/researcher Roo Dhissou for an intimate performance sharing tea, biscuits and conversation. Tea is a strategy for dialogue: an informal gossip circle, a ‘gendered’ approach to sharing intimate information, the kitty party. *sips tea*, *spills tea*
The conversation may include colonialism, class, prayer, war, ceremony, death, theft, queerness, sugary tea and gossip. Tea and cups are provided, though guests are encouraged to bring their own favourite drinking vessels from home.
This event is organised to coincide with the Art School Laboratory Showcase (23 – 26 May), with Osman Yousefzada and students from Birmingham School of Art.
