Step Back
Step Back was a year long project with over 30 reception children at Warren Farm School in Kingstanding, Birmingham plus six parents and carers, building on the relationship developed over the previous year.
At the beginning of the project, the group visited an exhibition at Ikon by Thai artist Rirkrit Tirivanija called Demo Station no.4, which explored issues surrounding people and their environment. The creative element of the project involved using sampling and creative writing to create two short film pieces and accompanying soundtracks.
Step Back was supported by a Birmingham City Council Art Education Award.
