About the presenter
Laura Reid is Head of Art at Small Heath Leadership Academy. Her students (Year 7 and 8) have produced new work with artist Monica Perez Vega in response to Hew Locke’s Foreign Exchange (2022). The students’ artwork is exhibited at Ikon Gallery 20 – 31 July 2022.
With 13 years of teaching experience in both schools and colleges, Reid is an active member of Birmingham Printmakers, where her practice as a silkscreen printmaker allows her to experiment with abstract collage techniques, creating unique prints combining playful pattern and bold colour onto paper, fabric and objects.
