This varied four-part course explores the complex relationships between women and art.

At Wolverhampton Art Gallery discover how contemporary female photographer Justyna Ptak reveals the beauty in our everyday surroundings. Study pieces by female artists such as Cornelia Parker and Susan Hiller as part of a retrospective look at Ikon, and art, in the 1980s. At The New Art Gallery Walsall we return to contemporary photography with Noémie Goudal’s work, inspired by isolated places. To conclude the course, explore the complex roles of women as models, muses and makers in art history as illustrated in the Barber collection.
