This was a survey exhibition of the work of Shafique Uddin who was born in 1962, in the village of Bor Bari in the Sylhet region of Bangladesh. At the age of fourteen he moved to the East End of London. Uddin’s jewel-like paintings draw on his memories of village life in Bangladesh and the life of the East End. This was the artist’s first major one-person exhibition outside London. 

This touring exhibition was organised by Bradford Art Galleries and Museums.
