Encompassing painting, drawing, sculpture and film, the work of Dutch artist Ansuya Blom offers a poignant vision of human desires and frailties. Like unsettling dreams, her recurring images of ant’s nests, corridors, beds, fingerprints and human figures have a profound emotional impact. This exhibition presents a series of Blom’s works made between 1984 and 1994, as well as a selection of new paintings. It provides British audiences with their first opportunity to see a substantial collection of Ansuya Blom’s intriguing art.
