Belgian artist Ann Veronica Janssens’ exhibition conveyed a characteristic fascination with natural phenomena and everyday experience, through coloured light projection and installation work.
Janssens’ treatment of space embodied subtle and poetic oppositions of transparency and opaqueness, emptiness and fullness. Her off-site project Red, Blue, located by the entrance of Ikon Gallery, consisted of a large pre-fabricated greenhouse with coloured glass panes filled with artificial fog.
Exhibition supported by the European Regional Development Fund, The Henry Moore Foundation and Light & Sound Design Fourth Phase Limited. Media Partner, The Birmingham Post.
