Join us to celebrate Black Country Voyages 2014 with a showcase of material produced by members of IYP, artists Juneau Projects and visitors to the project during this first year. This showcase will tour in early 2015 to locations around the Black Country.
Black Country Voyages (2014–2017) is an art programme for local young people, aged 15–19 years old, involving members of the Ikon Youth Programme (IYP). It takes place on board a canal boat, Aaron Manby, generously lent to us by Sandwell Council. Midlands based artists Juneau Projects have led Black Country Voyages in 2014, with a project inspired by nature and its interaction with society.
2015 will see Black Country Voyages travel to Wednesbury, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Bloxwich, collaborating with local groups and organisations. If you live locally and want to get involved please get in touch.
Black Country Voyages is organised in partnership with the Canal & River Trust. For more information call Ikon on 0121 248 0708.
