E.S.P presents the work of artists who have conjured up the paranormal in their work, searching for fact, fiction and the blurred areas in between. This exhibition includes Susan Hiller’s Wild Talents which has been shown across the world to great acclaim. It uses two large video projections and sculptural elements to invite viewers into a setting where popular culture and traditional religion combine to create a haunting and uncanny vision of childhood. Wendy McMurdo’s spellbinding, digitally remastered photographs showed images of children oddly apart from the world. Whether these children were musical protégés pictured practicing on thin air, or a curious seven-year-old meeting her ‘generated’ twin, they seemed hauntingly unaware of being photographed.
