Ikon presents the first major show in Britain of the work of Irish artist, Dorothy Cross. Issues of inheritance are explored through objects associated with the ways in which religious belief and authority are passed on from one generation to the next. For this exhibition, the artist has combined and transformed objects which evoke a personal memory or family history. She uses a range of techniques, from photography and casting to taxidermy, preserving and juxtaposing found and made objects.
