Fabled Territories was a review of contemporary photographic work by photographers and artists of South Asian origin living and working in Britain, selected by photographer Sunil Gupta. Its title stemmed from centuries of Western romantic ideas about the East. The work on display demonstrated the breadth of talent in the Asian communities, which had previously been marginalised and neglected by mainstream art institutions.
