In collaboration between Ikon and Birmingham’s Fierce Festival, Franko B performed I Miss You at The Bar nightclub, Birmingham in May 2000. The work asserted the body as a site for the representation of pain and fear, intrinsic to the human condition. Naked and daubed in white paint, the artist inserted catheters into his arms to release a continuous flow of blood as he walked slowly up and down a catwalk of canvas.
