Journey involved a series of silkscreen prints which were produced during an overland expedition to India made by Pamela Scott Wilkie in 1972. Inspired by the landscapes and people of the countries she passed through, these prints were made en-route in makeshift studios, using the materials available wherever she found herself.
First shown at Ikon Gallery in 1972, this work was also included in Some of the best things in life happen accidently: the beginning of Ikon in 2004, an exhibition celebrating Ikon’s 40th anniversary.
