New British Architecture presents design for the house of the future by twelve young architectural practices. The results vary, as the design teams address a range of issues from environmental concerns to the changing structure of the family. This exhibition features large architectural models and computer views of the houses. New British Architecture asks questions such as, where will we be living in fifty years’ time? Will our houses be domestic retreats from the world of work, or high-tech office outposts? Will our dwellings be converted warehouses, suburban semis or glass boxes?
