At home we fill our lives with manufactured objects, choosing them primarily for their functional qualities. We use them every day with mechanical absent-mindedness. Fifteen artists have brought such invisible objects to our attention by placing or recreating them in the gallery. The objects are chosen because of their design qualities and the significance they have in people’s lives. This exhibition presents work from over three decades.
Curated by Nick de Ville.
Artists include: Guillaume Bijl, Joan Brossa, Philippe Cazal, Tony Carter, Leo Copers, Thomas Grünfeld, Richard Hamilton, Yves Klein, Ange Leccia, Simon Linke, Caroline Russell, Haim Steinbach, Rosemary Trockel and Peter Zimmerman.
