Adult Practical Workshop

We spent a lovely and sunny afternoon out on the boat in and around Birmingham city centre hosting this month’s Adult Practical Workshop.

We started the journey in Brindley Place and went out towards the Birmingham University, than we came back and we went around the Icknield Port Loop.

It was a really nice journey and everyone enjoyed it because they had the opportunity to see some parts of the city centre that were very unfamilar. When you’re on the canal it’s funny how suddenly the city can become a very quiet and peaceful place.

Juneau Projects led the workshop and encouraged participants to make a painting inspired by nature to add to the growing archive. Being out on the canal no doubt inspired everyone who took part, moving at such a slow pace helps you really take in the environment. We were all able to take our time and choose something to paint that inspired us.

By the end of the session we had some paint with beautiful flowers, some nice landscapes and one gorgeous blue dragonfly.
