Black Country Voyages at Longwood Boat Club Canal Festival

On Saturday 13th June the boat was moored up at a new location at Longwood Boat Club for their Canal Festival.

We were given prime location surrounded by an array of beautiful boats, including The Jam Butty and their delicious preserves that they had for sale.

Although the weather wasn’t great for us there was still a good turn out of people, a lot visiting the site for the first time. Jacques joined us on the boat for the day, along with Morgan from IYP (Ikon Youth Programme) Jacques is keen to have all ages on the boat, so it was a great to see adults interacting with the boat and speaking to Jacques about the project as well as children.

It was a great day and the first time we have attended this event. It would be lovely to return next year too.
