Black Country Voyages at the Red House Glass Cone

In August 2015 we took the boat back to Stourbridge, returning to the Red House Glass Cone for a week of workshops. The staff at the Glass Cone are always welcoming, especially the Cafe staff who regularly provided the Ikon staff with cake.

Throughout the week we were holding botanical drawing workshops. Giving the public the chance to use carbon paper to create an outline of a wild flower and then add colour with pencil. Their drawings were then incorporated into our own boat gallery for the week. It was great to see all ages getting involved in the workshop and to also recognise people who had returned after doing the workshop at the Glass Cone the previous year.

I am sure we will be returning again next year with our artist for 2016.
