Blossom Photography Competition Winners
We were delighted to receive over 600 entries to the Brindley Cherry Blossoms Photography Competition earlier this month.
Organised in partnership with Brindleyplace, Ikon invited visitors to capture the cherry blossom trees in Oozells Square, and we can now announce the winners.
Miriam Stevens’ winning photograph, Ikonic, was selected by judges Matt Long, Head of Tenant Engagement & Placemaking, Brindleyplace; Lucy Mounfield, Assistant Curator, Ikon; and James Carnell, Head Gardener – Wightwick Manor and Garden, National Trust.
The runners up are Vanessa Harbar for Spring up Brum and Sundip Samra for The Reflections of an Ikon.
“We feel the three winning entries when combined capture not only the beauty of the blossoms, but also the joy they bring and the serenity and peacefulness they inspire.
Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone for sending in your photographs.” Matt Long, Brindleyplace
All three photographs are on display at Ikon Gallery from 20 April to 4 May, after which winners can take their framed print home.
In addition, Miriam Stevens’ image will be available as a postcard from Ikon Shop.
