Boating to Bumblehole
Black Country Voyages in Netherton
We spent a lovely day at Bumblehole Conservation Group Visitor Centre ,Windmill End Junction in Netherton, celebrating their annual open day.
In this gorgeous place near the canal we saw the beauty of nature with trees, flowers, swans, ducks and herons.
The centre was open for refreshments and there was also two performances by the Blackheath Ukulele Group who played a mixture of new and old songs.
The atmosphere was really relaxed and friendly!
Black Country Voyages boat was moored in front of the centre throughout and people were invited to get on and explore the inside of the boat looking at the Juneau Projects sculptures.
Outside we set up the space to do some lovely activities: with Ben and Phil you could draw or paint your favourite thing from nature and with Kristina you could make some funny masks with animal faces.
The day was really well attended – a lot of people joined in with our activities. We hope to come back next year!
