By Foot
From New Street station walk to Victoria Square, past the Town Hall and in front of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery onto Centenary Way.
Continue through Centenary Square towards Broad Street with the International Convention Centre (ICC) to your right. Walk up Broad Street and turn right into Oozells Street. Approximately 20 minute journey.
By Public Transport
Train
Birmingham’s New Street, Snow Hill and Moor Street stations are all within a 25 minute walk of Ikon Gallery. Train times are available from the National Rail website.
Bus
Ikon is accessible by bus from most areas of the city. For details of times and routes visit Transport for West Midlands.
Tram
The nearest tram stop is Broad Street, which is a 2 minute walk from Ikon Gallery.
Canal
The closest moorings to Ikon are at Sherbourne Wharf. Take the steps or pathway up to Brindleyplace and follow the directional signs.
Air
From Birmingham International airport, use the airport shuttle to Birmingham International train station, then take one of the regular trains to Birmingham New Street Station. Ikon is approximately 20 minutes walk from New Street or a short taxi journey.
By Bike
Ikon is easily accessible for cyclists by road or the local canal network. There is a bicycle rack near Ikon. Bikes can be hired in Brindleyplace, including one of only four Brompton bike hire docks within the city centre.

By Car
We encourage visitors to use public transport wherever possible. If driving by car, Birmingham operates a Clean Air Zone.
Birmingham is accessible by the M5, M6, M40 and M42 motorways. Drivers should follow signs to Birmingham City Centre and then look for the brown tourist signs to the International Convention Centre, Utilita Arena, Canals and Brindleyplace. The postcode for Ikon Gallery is B1 2HS.
Parking

Deliveries & Collections
Small parcels can be delivered to Ikon’s Reception desk. For larger deliveries or collections, Ikon’s loading bay is located within the barrier-controlled Brindleyplace service yard, off Broad Street. Please note a partial one-way system is in operation on Broad Street which can be entered via Gas Street and exited via Berkely Street. what3words location.
